Baby “Hide and Seek”

This is a fun game to play with babies who are just starting to understand “Object Permanence”

Baby-hide-and-seek-1Place in a line in front of baby a few different coloured bowls.

Show baby a toy or treasured item that they will want to try to find (I’ve used her dummy).

Wait and see if baby will find it. If baby has trouble finding the object point to or tap on the bowl its hidden under. Otherwise show baby where their object is

And then try again under a different bowl – and see what they do.

Try a different toy to hold babies attention, but likely this game may only last 1-5 minutes before baby becomes bored.
