Coloured Rice

Coloured rice is fun to make and great to use for craft activities, sensory play, or you can put a handful into an empty plastic bottle for a quick and easy colourful baby shaker.

Step 1. Put 1 cup of white rice in a metal bowl.

Step 2. Add 3-5 drip’s of food dye to a few tablespoons of water.

Step 3. Pour water into rice.

Step 4. Stir it up until all the rice is evenly coloured with the dye and water mixture.

Step 5. Spread the coloured rice evenly on something absorbent – like paper towel, newspaper, tea towels (the dye will stain them.)

Allow the rice to dry completely before playing with it – overnight is best.

LCHF Chocolate Brownie – Sweet Potato and Almond Brownie

I was a little nervous baking this for my birthday because I pretty much just blended together two different recipes with absolutely no experience making either of them. By some miracle it turned out great (but admittedly I have done a lot of baking, so I’ve got a little base knowledge to go along with it…. And perhaps just a bit of a lucky fluke!)
