Float or Sink

Collect a few items from your yard, or go on a walk. Try to gather some things that will float – such as leaves and feather, a few things that will sink – rocks and a few things that you aren’t sure about, such as tree bark or twigs, which may float or sink depending on how dense they are.

If you can – use a large clear plastic container so your child can look through the side of the container as they drop the objects into the water.
