Maternity Sale Nursing Dress Review (Video Review)

Maternity Sale
Breton Striped Dress Review

Maternity Sale sent me this Jojo Maman Bebe Breton Striped Nursing Dress to review. This is a sponsored review, but my opinion is always honest and my own.

Simple Yet Versatile

The dress itself is simple, which means it can easily be dressed up, or dressed down, depending on the occasion. It’s comfortable enough to be worn for a day on the couch, picking kids up from school, out for dinner or a coffee, as well as being appropriate for wearing to work.

Stripes Are Flattering

I know “they” say horizontal stripes aren’t flattering! But I did a little research and apparently horizontal stripes are fine as long as they’re narrow stripes. The stripes on this dress from Maternity Sale are narrow enough that it’s almost difficult to focus on. Which means the stripes help blend in some of my lumps and bumps. Also the fit of the dress is pretty generous around the belly. Which is great for wearing as a maternity dress, or after having baby.

Cosy and Warm

This dress is actually surprisingly warm. I had to wait for the weather to cool down a bit before I could wear it to review! But now the weather it a lot cooler I can see plenty of opportunities to wear this dress from late Autumn, through to Winter, and early Spring.

I also love the product description says it allowed for “Chill-free breastfeeding”! As someone who’s breastfed anywhere, any time, even in Melbourne’s chilly winters sometimes I really don’t want to be getting my breast out. I want to keep as much as my skin covered as possible! This dress allows you to be covered pretty much to your neck without having to expose your skin to the elements!

Easy Access For Breastfeeding (Or Expressing)

Inside the lift-up bodice of the dress there is an internal panel with side access. The stretchy fabric can easily be pulled aside so you can access as much – or as little – of your breasts as you need to for breastfeeding or expressing. The top can then be dropped back down while feeding or pumping if you want to cover your chest. Otherwise it can stay up pretty well on it’s own if you’d rather keep the fabric well out of the way.

  1. Well done! I’m not game enough to make a video yet haha. Dress looks warm (hard to find these days for nursing) but i don’t do neutrals ???

  2. Great vid! I like the spin to reveal another look ? it looks like a useful wardrobe staple. Everyone hates on stripes but I’m always drawn to them (especially black and white). Thanks for sharing!

  4. Not unreasonable at all – what a fab video lovely! I love that dress, I wish I’d had something like that when I was breastfeeding x
